Steve Collyer LLB, Managing Director

Steve became a Bachelor of Law and started work as a graduate trainee for a multi-national firm in 1985. He joined the financial services industry in 1990 and moved into management within a national firm, progressing to regional manager status in 1997. In 1999 he became a partner in a small practice working alongside three other partners with a remit to grow that business. In 2001 Hampton Dean was established as the Independent arm of that practice and over the following decade, it has grown to become a top 100 IFA. Steve continues to work with the same three colleagues (now his fellow directors and shareholders) and he is responsible for the overall management and development of the business.

Steve lives near Southwell and he is married with four children. As a result, there is limited time for hobbies but fly fishing and cycling are his chosen pursuits.

Roger Halle BSC APFS, Director

Roger is a founding Director and shareholder of Hampton Dean, having joined the financial services industry in 1986. A specialist in investment and tax planning, Roger has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status. Roger is a regular speaker at CLA seminars held throughout the UK. Married with three (grown up) daughters, he has lived in Bottesford since 1987 following a move up from Bristol. A keen yachtsman he is a part owner of “Graphix” based near Ipswich.

Martyn Kirk APFS Tep, Director

Martyn is a Director of the company, a Chartered Financial Planner and also holds the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners qualification. Martyn specialises in Investment and Inheritance Tax Planning and has worked in financial services since 1988 when he founded the forerunner of Hampton Dean. In what leisure time there is Martyn has his own smallholding and enjoys country sports. Martyn is married to Linda and has three children.
